Retainer and Payment
Client shall pay a retainer fee (deposit) equal to 25% of the selected photoshoot package to secure the services and products specified. The final balance must be paid in full on the day of the event. If the final balance is not paid in full, the photographer may refuse the release of images for viewing and download until the balance has been paid in full and reserves the right to enforce the terms of contract against the Client for the purpose of obtaining payment.
In the unlikely occurrence of injury or other unforeseen circumstance beyond the control of the photographer which prevents the photographer from performing the services mutually agreed upon, the photographer will issue a FULL REFUND to the client, including the retainer fee.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
In the event that the client should cancel for any reason, the retainer fee shall NOT BE refunded.
In the event that the client wishes to postpone or otherwise reschedule the event date, the client must first submit a written release of contract to the photographer including the original contracted date, which will void the contract. Thereafter, if the photographer is available for the new desired date, a new contract between client and photographer shall be set with the desired date. The rescheduled date must be within three (3) months of the original date or the new contract will be subject to the photographer’s current rates. If the photographer is unavailable on the proposed date, the contract will be cancelled and the retainer fee will not be refunded.
* Additional costs may apply for travel beyond 50 miles of photographer’s current location.
1. What is the session like?
The process typically breaks down into two components
First, we will meet briefly and discuss what you’re looking to get out of the session. During this initial meet-up we’ll discuss location, outfits, etc. This is also a great time to just get more comfortable so that we can maximize our time shooting day of. You are more than welcome to opt-out of this initial meet-up though it is highly recommended.
On the day of our shoot, we will meet up at a predetermined location and move from there. Remember to bring all outfit changes!
After our shoot, just sit tight and wait for all of the photos to process!
2. Help! I need a cap and gown!
I have an extra cap and gown that you can borrow. Just let me know beforehand and I’ll bring it to our session! (Applicable to Duke Students only)
If we have our session before you pick up your cap and gown, I’d recommend borrowing one from a friend who has already graduated (or has already picked theirs up), usually this works out just fine.
Make sure to bring any additional sashes and tassels that you would like to use during the photoshoot!
3. Can I bring props to the shoot?
Yes! Props are highly encouraged!
Popping champagne is an extremely popular option! If you haven’t popped champagne before, I’d recommend practicing with a bottle or two before our photoshoot so you can get that perfect shot. It’s harder than it looks!
Confetti is also a very popular option. However, if you’re looking to be more eco-friendly, bubbles are an amazing alternative. Otherwise, you can look up biodegradable confetti and use that during our photoshoot.
At the end of the day, you are more than welcome to use any props that you’d like (people, pets, bottles, balloons, etc.) This is your special moment and anything that helps you remember your college/university experience is fair game. If you have any questions on how to incorporate something, feel free to ask me.
4. What exactly do you do after our photoshoot session?
After our photo shoot ends, I’ll start going through your photos immediately and start the editing process.
Final edits of our session will be made available via a private online gallery where you will be able to download high resolution files and have them printed at your location of choice.
5. What is the turn around time for final images?
My typical turnaround rate is 1-1.5 weeks. Sometimes I am able to finish work sooner and sometimes it takes a little longer. Regardless of timeline, expect to be able to access photos for download in an online gallery.
6. How many photos do you deliver?
There is no limit on the number of photos that will be delivered after our session is over! Unless otherwise specified, I typically return around 50+ photos per each session.
8. Do you provide RAW image files?
No. I deliver a fully edited gallery of your images for you to use after the session.
7. Do you provide prints?
I do not have printing services but I recommend either Bay Photo Lab or White House Custom Color.
8. What forms of payment do you accept?
I currently accept the following forms of payment:
Cash/Check
PayPal/Zelle/CashApp
